Patrols and checkpoints
Patrols and checkpoints in 4guards (from the Plus plan): configure points and routes, record visits and inspect missing points. Coordinates are optional; this is not continuous GPS tracking.
Checkpoints with codes
Each point belongs to a site and has a unique code, shown and copyable in the panel. A visit is recorded from the code: entered by the dispatcher in the panel or sent through the API. The panel does not generate or print QR/NFC labels.
Routes and rounds
Define route points and a recurring interval. On closure, round status uses recorded checkpoints, without checking physical visit order or a GPS route.
Overdue points in the panel
The list compares the last record with the current time for every active route with a positive interval, plus points never recorded, using the configured grace period. It ignores shift hours and sends no SMS, email or push notification.
How it works
Create the site, checkpoints and route, then start a round and record visits. A visit is recorded from the checkpoint's code, entered in the panel or sent through the API; there is no offline mode. Time may be supplied or set when a record arrives; agent and coordinates are optional fields. Close the round and inspect missing points. A code identifies the checkpoint but does not authenticate the sender or prove physical presence. Checkpoint patrols are available from the Plus plan.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if a visit is missing?
When the round closes, an unrecorded point is listed as missing. For recurring routes, dispatchers can inspect overdue points in the panel. 4guards does not send external alerts automatically.
Do I get continuous GPS and an automatic client report?
Coordinates can be supplied with a record, but there is no continuous GPS tracking. Panel records are available; a dedicated patrol export and automatic client distribution are not confirmed.
